This term our topic is called Let’s Grow.
During this topic we will be reading the stories ‘Oliver’s Fruit Salad and ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’
We will be:
- Trying a selection of different fruits and making our own fruit salads
- Growing our own beanstalks
- Using puppets and props to retell the stories
- Practicing how to write our names and the names of some of the fruits
- Weighing, measuring and comparing fruits and beanstalks
How you can help at home:
- Try a variety of different fruits and discuss what they tasted like and looked like, what parts you could and couldn’t eat and which ones you liked and why?
- Share the above stories together and discuss the main events and characters
- practice writing your name and number 1-10 (see the links below for some fun ideas on how to help write your name)
- Make any notes on the stickers provided and send them in to school!
