What a busy half term so far!

Oak base have been extremely busy this half term and we have been learning so many new skills.

From cooking, measuring and counting to visiting the school orchard and telling stories.

Measuring and comparing beanstalks!

Let’s Grow

This term our topic is called Let’s Grow.

During this topic we will be reading the stories ‘Oliver’s Fruit Salad and ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’

We will be:

  • Trying a selection of different fruits and making our own fruit salads
  • Growing our own beanstalks
  • Using puppets and props to retell the stories
  • Practicing how to write our names and the names of some of the fruits
  • Weighing, measuring and comparing fruits and beanstalks
