Maths problem solving day

Thursday 15th October  Maths Problem solving day.

In Maple 1 we linked our learning from the week  to develop and deepen our understanding of converting time  and finding time zone differences.  We turned our classroom into a departure lounge to to help ‘adventure bear’ travel the world keeping track of his time in each country. Adventure Bear problem

During the day we were also very lucky to work with Barney; he taught us three maths problems that we could play at home and test our parents!

We also tried to solve the following problem:

During 24 hours how many times does 5 appear on a digital clock?

Post your comments on how you solved the problem!
