Wow. What a week that was! You have all been amazing during your SATs tests. You have worked hard and been so positive. We are all very proud of you.
All this test business set me thinking about the meaning of success and failure. Your THUNK this week connects with that idea:
If you could take a pill which would mean you would never fail – would you?
If you could take a pill that would make you forever smart would you take it?
Reasons for: you would become a trillion air and be worth more than the GDP of America.
You would have lots of friends.
You wouldn’t need to go to school.
You could just be lazy your whole life.
You wouldn’t even need to think because you would already know every thing in the world.
Reasons Against:you would never have any goals.
You would lose friends as you would always be showing off.
You may become addicted and even take an overdose.
Everything would be too easy so everything would be boring.
You would have every degree, house, wife, anything there is so you would have nothing to try and obtain.
Interesting thoughts:Who created the pill?
How much would it cost?
What chemicals are inside it makes you so smart?
Would it drive you to depression or suicide?
We would take the pill.

We think that this may be a good advantage: if you were to take the pill you could be lazy and wouldn’t have to put any effort into your answers. It would also help you to make friends and avoid depression. Having this ability would allow you to: never fail; get brilliant results in tests and get whatever job you wanted.
However, we think that this could be a bad idea because you wouldn’t be honest with your answers: the pill would be doing all the work for you. Boredom would control your lives because you would never face the many challenges that life conceals.

In this paragraph will tell all of the pros and cons for having this pill. Read on to find out the goods and the evils about this pill which could turn your life around.
Plus:
– People won’t be able to judge you by your size or appearance.
– You could get your dream job.
– You would do well in your GCSEs which would lead to marks like A* and A+.This means you will definitely get your dream job or apprenticeships which would lead on to a full time job.
– You wouldn’t feel sad or depressed: you would have done really well.
– Friends are the best- this pill would help you make friends easily.
– If you were to take this pill you would become lazy and wouldn’t have to do any work what so ever.
Minus:
– People might bully you and call you names like know-it-all.
– If don’t have to go to school then it may seem like fun but you would be tired of doing the same thing over and over again.
– If you want love to be easy then take the pill but you might become someone who has no friends,have no wife,girlfriend,children.
– Even if you do start winning money and become rich you might be at risk of having no family.
-Family is MORE IMPORTANT than some money.

– What would the side affects be?

– Would you want to be a know-it-all or just someone with a family or even a family of your own?
In the end I would not take the pill.

I think yes : you can be happy that you would never feel despondent about failing .You wouldn’t need to compare yourself to others like if some obtained a better score than you – you would always get the right answers. Plus you would win bets so you would become rich.
I think no : you would think that you’re very bright when actually it’s just the potion making you smart. You might get dissatisfied because there were no challenges in life . There would be no surprises. You would become rich and forget about your family but family is more conspicuous then money .

You could have an overdose; also there would be no purpose in life.There would be no challenges.You are taking peoples free will .You can suffer from depression.No surprises in life like on birthdays.You learn from mistakes.

Overall we think no
Plus: You would never suffer depression since you would always get everything correct. For a year 6 class ,in particular, you would pass SATS, get greater depth and get maximum marks in every test. You may be taken to an intercontinental match where you answer any questions and you would always win it. You will not fail in getting new friends. You could win any game or bet and you would be very rich because of that. You wouldn’t fail in getting your favoured job or defusing any bombs. Finally, you could be as lazy as you want by never having to think again.
Minus: You’ll never learn anything. You may not feel the happiness of passing your test since you can never have an improvement in marks. You would suffer from less freewill since you can’t ever be correct meaning you don’t have the free will to fail or not. You won’t succeed in dying if you don’t want to – meaning you’ll see everyone pass. There will be no surprises because you’ll always succeed in predicting what’s the surprise. There may be a side effect. You might be called a nerd.
Interesting: Is it legal? Are there side effects? Is it the first time the pill has been tested? What if the pill malfunctions? How long does the pill last? Will it create an infection? How old would you need to be to take one? How long does it take to be delivered? What is the cost? Where was it made? What is it made of? What colours are the pills? What if they are accidentally made to fail by mistake of ingredients? How would tour life work with them? Would it actually be enjoyable? What if the deliverer poisons the pill? Do you need to be good at Science to make it? How do you make it? Is it easy to make? Does it take long to make? Are the ingredients easy to obtain?
Overall we wouldn’t take the pill because our life would be boring.

Yes because you would be passing all your tests which would lead to getting really high grades which would then lead to getting in to college which would then lead to getting a great job or the job that you dream of. Getting the job that you dream of, could mean that you would get a lot of money. Depending on what job you get will decide if you become famous and being famous may lead to becoming a millionaire or even a billionaire. You would also never have to go to school because you would know everything already and you would also be allowed to be very lazy. You would also never ever have to compare yourself to other people – comparing yourself can feel upsetting. It would also lead to never having to correct mistakes because there would never be any.

No, because you would never be showing what you are capable of. It would also mean that you would be a completely different person and with being who you are you are you are fake . You would also have a very boring life because you would never being doing what you would want to do the pill would be doing what it wants to do and you would never appreciate what was really around you. Also making mistakes helps you to learn because it will help you understand how to make your writing or whatever you are doing better .

You would always be happy because success is always a joy, get more friends for being the smartest person in class , you would also be compared between other smart people in the school. You would be lazy because you wouldn’t have to think because the answer will already be in your brain , you would be able to predict the answer . Always have friends, win bets for money and you would get the job that you wanted .

Maybe but let’s start with the PROS to this question: Good jobs are always plausible because you could dream and achieve every goal you needed to complete. The Lottery is a valid option for earning money very easily. Betting for money in arcades and in places like Las Vegas to become rich and I mean filthy rich.
The CONS to this real life equation: People have no free will because if he asked to be other’s friends then you have to say yes. You would be incredibly lazy and live an effortless life and there will be no point in living.
INTERESTING Facts: Side affects are possible and could result in death. Expenses and prices could vary through the shops that sell the pill.
We think Maybe not because there would be the chances of fake drugs being replaced by the Black Market.
