Maths problem solving day

Thursday 15th October  Maths Problem solving day.

In Maple 1 we linked our learning from the week  to develop and deepen our understanding of converting time  and finding time zone differences.  We turned our classroom into a departure lounge to to help ‘adventure bear’ travel the world keeping track of his time in each country. During the day we were also very lucky to work with Barney; he taught us three maths problems that we could play at home and test our parents!

We also tried to solve the following problem:

During 24 hours how many times does 5 appear on a digital clock?

Post your comments on how you solved the problem!
